NVIFR is for when your game is running in windowed mode. Początkowo opublikowane przez Haris1977:Ok. So my question is: Why do i get better results with NVFBC rather than NVENC? There is also NVIFR capture method right? Is there a way to enable it in steam in order to test? Many people also stated that many games wont work with NVFBC encoder, even though it is better. the app also tells me its experiencing 'slow decode'. My Macbook Air is working still, and much better than my desktop Here are the stats Im getting from the steam link. the steam link app tested a 30mbps connection wirelessly to my pc and says its a fantastic connection. Connected directly to router with a short Cat5 ethernet cable. The steam link locks up whenever I do any task on it. Just to make sure something didnt happen to my network, I tested the steam link with my Macbook Air as well. The display latency is def whats making my stream very laggy and straight up unplayable. Thus meaning different encoders for different streams which is awkward. I'm seeing a <1 ms input latency, but 200 ms display latency. In BPM mode i get a "Steam D3D10 NV12+NVENC H264" encoder, while in firefox i got a "desktop DWM NV12" mode. What i did see: The encoder for each game i played was changed to "desktop NVFBC h264" which was better than the "Game polled D3D11/D9" - at least for my setup. ![]() Didn't have time for other games, all games played well though. ![]() I also run trackmania nations (very good also), machinarium, firefox. My Setup: PC: Intel core 2 quad q6600 2.4 Ghz, 4gb RAM, nvidia GTX 750 Ti, gfe 2.9.1.22, latest driver 361. Things are way better:) I didn't see any video micro-stutterings anymore (in dirt3 which is my benchmark at least). Steam app (host pc): latest beta version, prefer NVFBC capture method
